Questions before getting started?
What website platforms do you work with?
I specialize in custom website development with Squarespace and Shopify. Squarespace is an ideal platform for service-based businesses and professional portfolios.
As a certified Shopify Partner and I’m passionate about designing Shopify sites for makers, small shops, and handmade businesses. Shopify makes eCommerce easy by streamlining every tool you’ll need to run your business, including inventory management, shipping, and app integrations.
If you’re interested in building your website on a different website platform, please reach out and I will let you know if it’s a good fit for me.
How soon can you start working on my website?
That depends on each specific project, my availability, and the time of year! During busier seasons, my calendar gets booked up more quickly. With this in mind, I recommend you reach out to connect with ample time in advance.
Please keep in mind that my turnaround time for a fully custom website is 10 to 12 weeks.
Looking for a shorter turnaround time for your Shopify website? Inquire about one of my Shopify Power Days instead.
What is the turnaround time for my project?
After you book your Inquiry Call, your proposal has been accepted, and your deposit is paid, we will work together for 10 to 12 weeks to design your fully custom website. All proposals and timelines are unique to each client to fit their needs.
For other services like Small Business Consultations and Website Audits, you can submit an inquiry and an administrative assistant will reach out to coordinate a time that fits in with your schedule.
Please note that as a human, parent, and partner, it’s important to me to ensure that my family and I come first before my business. I create project timelines that respect my capacity while also fully supporting my clients.
How does payment work?
As a small business owner, I understand that websites are an investment. All projects require a deposit prior to work beginning and a payment plan with coordinating deliverables timeline can be created for your remaining outstanding balance.
I also recognize that cost can be a barrier to web design for many people, especially business owners who are part of disenfranchised groups. I encourage business owners who identify as Black, Indigenous, people of colour, LGBTQ+, disabled, or another disenfranchised group to reach out to me at to discuss payment options.
Do you offer support after you’ve developed my website?
Absolutely! Once our project has completed, you will have the opportunity to become a monthly retainer client or purchase Fairy Webmother hours for small updates required for your website.
